The sheep we raise are Soay, a small hardy breed that naturally sheds its Winter wool coat in the late Spring. Being small, Soay are gentle on the land, and their appetite for all things green, make them excellent for reducing weeds and potential wildfire fuel.
As of today (April 1) There are 3 pregnant ewes, and it looks like the first lambs be arrive in early April 2025. Last year the first lambs arrived on March 22nd.
